What our friends are saying:

“I’ve been a Friend of Masi, since my birthday in September, 2020. Meeting everyone at Masi and going on this journey with them, was the best gift for which I could ever have asked. Their humility and gratitude has shown me how to appreciate everything in life and to think of others more highly than myself. Masi has brought a joy into my life that I cannot explain; it’s a feeling without words. My heart will forever be touched by Masi, for they gave me more than I could ever give them.”

“I’ve been a friend of Masi for 3 years now. Every time I think of this organisation and its wonderful team I get goosebumps. They are such an incredible example of the South Africa that could be, if only we just believed. It’s so comforting to know that Nwabi and her team are developing SA’s next set of leaders. The stakes are high but I place every fibre of trust in them to fulfil the job. Thank you guys, your safe heaven will be a garden of growth for years to come and I can’t wait to watch the goodness unravel.”

"I met Nwabi around two years ago when I had the honour of visiting the first Masibulele School with Olivia. At the time, I owned an eatery called Sana Café and we got to spoil the ladies to a Women's Day dinner shortly after our visit. After meeting/ spending a short amount of time with Nwabi and the other teachers, I felt such a special connection with the Masibulele project and knew that I had to try and get as involved as possible, even if it was simply contributing some funds or a little bit of time. I haven't visited the school since our daughter has been born/ since COVID began but have received virtual love and updates from Nwabi which warms my heart every time. She is such a beautiful soul and it is incredibly inspiring to see all that she does for the school and her community. I hope to visit again soon and have no doubt that it will be a safe haven for so many kids now and in the future - a real institution in the heart of Khayelitsha!"
